West Wimbledon Bowls Club Offers:
If you have never played the game before, the club offers new bowlers reduced membership for the first year and will receive tuition on the concept of bowls and help getting started building you up to playing your first game.

For students that are in full time education can receive their first year FREE. Our current student find that the playing bowls helps them relax and provides many friends within our community to interact with. Students also use the club house as a study area, to work on their year end projects.

What Our Members Say

"As a local resident I was always curious but not fully aware about what went on down the driveway that lead from Durham Road beside the Church. I was encouraged by a neighbour and member to come along one day to see for myself. The prospect did not disappoint. The little green oasis that materializes proves to be all you would hope for.

After one visit and a warm welcome I was hooked and applied to join there and then. I only have one or two regrets and they are that I am not a better bowler and that I didn’t do it years ago. No matter I take my amateur skills along and join in a suitable level and look forwards to improving (and the 2024 Olympics)

The club is more than just bowling it is a fellowship of members who bring their individual talents (as well as bowls) each week to join in such diverse activities as listening to the string quartet (who are also honorary members) gardening, green maintenance and any other odd jobs. All on a voluntary and collective basis.

My advice is take that step down the lane to discover a new world within. Nearby Wimbledon Village was recently voted as the best place in Britain to retire, because of the plethora of activities on offer.......... It doesn't have a bowls club! We do

55 Durham Road is where to find what you are missing."
